Apparently, while they already function perfectly fine, and have been used to assist in extinguishing a fire, (believe it or not), their primary limitation is that they still require a massive energy source. Even in their current state of limited production, the fact that lasers could be used against anyone stupid enough to attack Russia is just another reason why you should never attack Russia.

With the world seemingly spiraling deeper into crisis over an alleged chemical attack in Douma, Syria and threats of direct conflict with Russia flying from Donald Trump’s Twitter account, Russia’s disarming but stern foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova sat down with the UK’s Sky News for a rare one-on-one interview.

Zakharova spoke in English in the over half an hour exchange, voicing Moscow’s position on US and allied threats of assault on Syria, and the status of ex-double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, whom Russia stands blamed by London of poisoning.

Though she stressed that as a wife and mother she hoped for peace, Zakharova said Russia would not hesitate to defend its servicemen in Syria if they came under fire. The Russian presence in the country was by invitation, she said, unlike that of other foreign troops. She went on to denounce the alleged Douma chemical attack as faked for the cameras by the terrorists and White Helmets “aid” workers.

She also expressed relief in news of the recovery of Yulia Skripal, but demanded the UK produce evidence she was not being held against her will. Zakharova pointed out that at least 20 nations had the technical capability to produce the Novichok nerve agent supposedly used in the incident – not least of course Britain itself.

Throughout, Zakharova refused to let herself be drawn into traps or respond to provocative questions posed by the interviewer, who tried repeatedly to entice her into an embarrassing quote or gaffe.

Altogether, a very reasoned and insightful interview by one of Russia’s best official representatives.

More than two thousand took to the streets of the provincial town of Pyrgos, in Western Greece, on Sunday to participate in a rally opposing any compromise on the part of the Greek government regarding the usage of the name “Macedonia” by Greece’s northern neighbor.
Largely ignored by the national media, the Pyrgos rally was nowhere near as massive as the recent demonstrations in Athens and Thessaloniki, but was nevertheless significant for a moderately-sized provincial town.
The rally in Pyrgos was organized the same day as another Macedonia rally, outside United Nations headquarters in New York City.

In front of an audience of American and Greek-American dignitaries, U.S. President Donald Trump hosted the White House Greek Independence Day Celebration on Thursday evening.
In his remarks, Trump commemorated the Greek struggle for independence and sovereignty, and the profound influence of Greece on the Western world:

“Today, we commemorate the Greek struggle for independence that began on March 25, 1821.  After almost four centuries of foreign rule, brave Greek patriots fought to reclaim their freedom, their sovereignty, and their right of self-determination.
The Greek fight for independence enjoyed an outpouring of support throughout the Western world.  The citizens of France, Great Britain, the United States, and many other nations were moved to action by a cultural and historical kinship tracing back thousands of years to Ancient Greece, the birthplace of — and you know what this is — democracy. Right? The birthplace of democracy and of, really, Western Civilization.
All around us, here in the United States, we see the profound influence of Greek culture, art, and philosophy.
In the Federalist Papers, our Founding Fathers consulted the wisdom of the Ancient Greek city-states when writing our own Constitution. They learned a lot. They knew what they were doing.

Trump did not miss the opportunity to inject some humor into the celebration:

Following Trump’s statement, Archbishop Demetrios of America came to the podium for a statement. Thanking Trump for the invitation, Demetrios turned his attention to the threats which Greece, Cyprus, and Hellenism at large are facing today:
“Mr President, we are grateful that you share these vital American and universal principles and we kindly ask that you continue to affirm them all the more in this troubled world. We further ask for your special care and attention to the continuous injustices suffered by our Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in matters of full religious freedom.

Also at the commemoration were U.S. Representatives Gus Bilirakis (Florida), Carolyn Maloney (New York) and Virginia Foxx (North Carolina). Popular Greek singer Thanos Petrelis sang at the official White House dinner commemorating Greek Independence.

The “big news” across the USA last weekend was a nationwide “March for Our Lives” event, in which many thousands of people gathered in multiple US cities to express support for some means of stopping gun-related violence in America’s school.

However, a different march took place the next day that more effectively deals with the heart of the problem of “gun violence.” This was the “March for Eternal Life”, organized by the First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, USA, and led by its pastor, Dr. Robert Jeffress. On the evening of Palm Sunday, which fell on March 25th this year for Western Christendom, several thousand members of this church gathered in downtown Dallas, putting their faith on their feet by marching in support of Eternal Life.

Church members carried a large illuminated Cross to symbolize their belief in Jesus Christ, and their belief that His message is the only hope for salvation in the world. At a local park the cross was lifted high.

After singing the venerable hymn “How great Thou art”, the pastor of the church took to the stage:

“We’re here to proclaim our faith in Jesus Christ,” Jeffress said. “We believe that God loves us, he doesn’t hate us…he loves us. And he wants to offer us the greatest gift of all, the gift of eternal life. A relationship with God that can begin now and extend forever and ever after death.”

“What are you trusting in to get you into heaven?” Jeffress asked. “There’s only one way to heaven…to eternal life.  And that’s trusting in Jesus.”

Pastor Jeffress noted that his church’s March is deliberately set to coincide with Palm Sunday, the day Jesus entered Jerusalem to the joyous cries of the crowds – who turned completely against him only five days later. But that suffering and apparent defeat on the Cross was transformed into the defeat of Death and Hades with Christ’s Resurrection.

Pastor Jeffries spoke on Saturday about the national march, and he noted that Saturday’s anti-gun violence activism was welcomed, but he remarked that legislation of any kind only puts a band-aid on the problem.

Residents of an Illinois town were just handed down an unconstitutional decree from their local government.

Citizens now have 60 days to give up their guns or be faced with a fine of up to $1000 per day.

As the state promises gun rights activists they’re not coming for their guns, behind the scenes they’re pleading for it to happen. And now the feared gun grab is occurring. Residents in Deerfield, Illinois have 60 days to surrender their “assault weapons” or face fines of $1000 per day per gun.

The gun ban ordinance was passed on April 2nd with residents left with few choices of how to dispose of their valuable “assault weapons.” Upon careful reading of the ordinance, residents will be left with revolvers, .22 caliber “plinking” rifles, and double barrel shotguns to defend their homes and families from criminals who could care less about the law.

Fines for not disposing of the weapons range from $250 to $1000 per day per gun for those who choose not to comply with the city’s ordinance. While a fine may seem reasonable to some, as TFTP has reported on multiple occasions, failure to pay fines always results in police action. It is not far-fetched to predict major turmoil and arrests in the event of non-compliance.

One example of the so-called “assault weapon” is the Ruger 10/22 which can accept magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. Even though the 10/22 is not listed in the list of guns the village wants to see banned, the gun cannot legally be possessed in the village.

Residents have been instructed to either sell their guns, transfer the ownership to someone who lives outside the village, surrender their guns to Deerfield’s sheriff, or begin paying the fines.

Deerfield mentioned a number of cities where mass shootings took place, including Sutherland Springs, TX where 26 people were killed in the First Baptist Church. That shooting was actually stopped by a man who used the very gun Deerfield voted to ban. No mention was made of that fact in the ordinance.

Also included in the gun ban were semi-automatic pistols which can accept higher than 10 round magazines. That’s virtually all full size semi-automatic pistols.

Even though the village trustees ignored the pleas of residents to leave their guns alone, and passed the ordinance anyway, many residents were encouraged to ignore the gun ban and engage in civil disobedience.

Joel Siegel, a resident of Lincolnwood, warned the village’s residents that governments all across the world have moved to confiscate guns then turned around and ran roughshod over the people. He said, “There’s an ancient and honored American tradition called disobeying an unjust law…I have urged (people) to listen to their conscience and if so moved do not obey this law.”

Deerfield Mayor Harriet Rosenthal implied the students from the local high school helped sway her decision to bring about the ordinance. “Enough is enough,” Rosenthal said adding, “Those students are so articulate just like our students. There is no place here for assault weapons.”

The statement mirrors the knee jerk reaction to ban guns following a nationwide public outcry of students who supposedly feared for their own lives following the recent mass shooting in Florida.

Opponents of the gun grab vow to fight the action in court while others praised the trustees decision to ban semiautomatic rifles, pistols and shotguns. Ariella Kharasch, a Deerfield High School senior said she wants more action to be taken on both a local and national level.

“This is our fight…This is our generation’s fight. We’re going to keep fighting and this is part of it. Change happens gradually step by step. The fight does not end at the borders of our village.,” Kharasch said.

Best selling author and self help guru Tony Robbins, made some red pill comments about the #MeToo movement, which has now prompted radical left SJWs to call for his destruction.

Tony Robbins made his comments on the #MeToo movement on March 15th, with the video of his comments only going viral this Saturday. It appears that this was an orchestrated attack from the radical left against another ‘toxic white male.’

Here is what Robbins said during one of his seminars in San Jose, California, last month…

“If you use the #MeToo movement to try to get significance and certainty by attacking and destroying someone else…all you’ve done is basically use a drug called significance to make yourself feel good.”

Robbins also told the story of a “very powerful man” who passed on hiring a female candidate even though she was the most qualified candidate, because she was too attractive and would be “too big a risk.”

Robbins was clearly making the point that #MeToo hysteria would inevitably scare away many male employers from hiring women.

Qualified and capable women will be innocent bystanders, in what has become a radical left witch hunt to destroy men at all costs.

Legal (and now social risk) is a very real issue when making hiring decisions.

The actions of a #MeToo movement taken too far, will inevitably lead to undesirable (and unfair) consequences for some, and irreparably damage the interaction between men and women in the workplace.

Robbins posted an apology Sunday morning on Facebook for his comments. A big mistake, as any ‘redpiller’ knows that the minute you apologize to the radical liberal left, the calls for your blood increase at an exponential rate.

Robbins should have stood his ground, and owned his words amid all the unhinged, social media hysteria.

“At a recent Unleash the Power Within (UPW) event in San Jose, my comments failed to reflect the respect I have for everything Tarana Burke and the #MeToo movement has achieved,” he wrote. “I apologize for suggesting anything other than my profound admiration for the #MeToo movement. Let me clearly say, I agree with the goals of the #MeToo movement and its founding message of ‘empowerment through empathy,’ which makes it a beautiful force for good.”

The moment passed with little fanfare at the time, but came roaring back to public attention after the viral news site NowThis, released a video which included audience member Nanine McCool pushing back against Robbin’s comments.

“Certainly there are people who are using it for their own personal devices, but there are also a significant number of people who are using it not to relive whatever may have happened to them, but to make it safe for the young women,” she said. “So that they don’t have to feel unsafe.”

At various points when Robbins spoke, he was met by jeers from audience members, many of whom spent hundreds of dollars to attend his event.

Those jeers were even more ferocious online, as the mob quickly descended.

On Saturday, women gathered in Vienna Austria to protest against the increasing rape epidemic in Europe.

Left-wing activists from Europe’s “ANTIFA” attempted to shut-down the demonstration. Police had to intervene.

Israeli PM Netanyahu made a bizarre offer to the Iranian people – if it can even be called an offer.

His “offer”, came in the form of a youtube video, which was also re-uploaded with Arabic and Farsi (Persian/Iranian) subtitles. In the video, he says Iran is suffering from major lack of water, and Israel wants to help by providing the Iranian people irrigation technology with seemingly no catch. In the video, he says that “The Iranian regime shouts “death to Israel”. In response, Israel shouts, “Life to the Iranian people”.

The video seems to be a PR scheme, in which he is trying to frame himself as the Savior of the Iranian people, saying that Israel stands with them, and cares about them more than their own government.

If you watch the video, and understand the situation, you realize however that his “offer” is a thinly veiled PR scheme at best.

In the video, he talks about how Iran is challenged with major drought, and water issues, which he claims threatens the lives of regular Iranians. He says that Israel has developed state of the art irrigation technology, to circumvent their own water issues, which he wants to share with Iranian people.

He seems to blame the water issues, or rather, an implied lack of Iranian solutions on the Iranian government. It must be said, that even parts of the US can suffer from irrigation issues  This is not an unheard of problem in hot or difficult climates, for even powerful countries to struggle with.

A major part of his so-called “offer“, to appear like a hero for Iranian people, is he claims to create a Farsi website to share this irrigation technology with the Iranian people.

The devil is as always, in the details, however, and we will examine these details with biblical levels of scrutiny.

The offer is obviously very suspicious, but not simply because it’s an obvious deception. The reason why I have written “offer”, in quotations, is aside from him calling it an “unprecedented offer”, nothing about it seems like an actual offer for several reasons.

First of all, he spends the majority of the video talking about how terrible the Iranian government is, and how they allegedly don’t help their own people with their water issues. Then he claims he is going to step in and save the Iranian people by offering them this technology, but his offer seems entirely for the purpose of publicity. There seems to be nothing real at all behind these words.

First of all, it is framed as a totally free offer, a gift, yet the very use of the word “offer”, in politics, implies there is to be an exchange. He does not specify what he wants in exchange for this offer, unless he truly wants it to be believed, that he will give cutting-edge technology for free. It seems obvious he is trying to influence “hearts and minds” be they Iranian or not, in a propaganda campaign, rather than to actually give technology

This is because, despite making an offer, if you dig deeper, he is actually not giving anything concrete as of now. There does not seem to be any way for the Iranian people to take this offer.

The website is propaganda

As noted, he claims he will create a Farsi website with the irrigation info, yet this doesn’t seem to actually happen.

Specifically, he says:

We will lanch a Farsi website with detailed plans on how Iranians can recyle their waste-water.

Those words clearly imply he will create a comprehensive Farsi language site, with the irrigation technology provided there. The way he describes it in the video, this is his offer, it’s not about the conflict or politics, it’s about saving Iranians by giving them the technology. Once again, the devil is in the details.

If you look at the actual sites given in the video, and linked in the description, they don’t appear to match what he is describing.

The first site that he links to, is a Farsi language, two-page archive of a total of 15 irrigation and water-related articles, on the main site of the Israel Foreign Ministry. It doesn’t even seem to come close to what he is describing.

First of all, he said he would launch a Farsi language site. The word launch in modern internet terminology clearly implies creating a website. If we were going to put together a series of articles in Russian about Russian infrastructure on The Duran, we would not likely say we are going to “launch a Russian language site designed for infrastructure engineers”. This implies we are creating a totally different site under our umbrella.

He implies this isn’t about politics, he is creating a website to bring Iranians life-saving irrigation technology, yet he simply links to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, which instead contains, if not direct propaganda, essentially what amounts to PR advertisements for Israeli technology.

The site also conveniently contains links to other official government propagand…um…I mean…information, unrelated to water at all. So you can start reading about water, and find yourself reading official Israeli foreign relations info with a few clicks. It’s essentially product placement, but with information.

At this point, one could claim this is all too picky and unfair, a matter of semantics. One can argue so long as he is delivering what he promised, what does it matter on which site.

The issue is the site itself IS essentially propaganda, and moreover, it’s a Potemkin village, there is nothing really there OTHER than propaganda.

Even if you don’t speak Farsi, you can click on some of the articles, use a simple online translator, and see they don’t match what he is offering. They are not comprehensive scientific pieces on how Iranians can fix their water issuest They are blatant advertisements for Israeli innovations and technology.

How does a video that talks about how wonderful Israeli irrigation can actually help farmers in a doubt? That is like showing an advertisement for the Cleveland Clinic to a sick person in Iran, and expecting them to magically be healed by simply watching it. There is nothing wrong with ads. Their purpose is to sell a product, but the issue is he is claiming to give in-depth irrigation know how, and instead, delivers propaganda.

Look for yourself at some of the articles, they’re very short, sometimes no more than a few sentences, with short 2-3min video advertisements talking about how great Israel and Israeli technology is. One can hardly see how this would help anyone.

Indeed, they are relating to water, but they don’t provide anything substantial, beyond a substantial amount of propaganda. Some of the short PR and testimonial style videos are even in English, with Farsi subtitles, so you can clearly tell this was not originally designed for Iranian people.

There is nothing of value in the videos, certainly nothing comparable to his great unprecedented offer.

This would be the equivalent of a major food company saying they wanted to tackle hunger in Africa, and saying they will help starving, impoverished Africans, by providing their technologies and products to them, saying they will link below to resources, but the links provided are just advertisements for their company.

The ads talk about how they are using automation to speed up packaging, how they use the best products, and the videos will show happy people in major first world cities enjoying their meals and their luxurious lifestyles. That is an advertisement, and it does literally nothing to help the people, and that is exactly what this website is.

It would be like someone trying to end world hunger by filming themselves making gourmet meals, and putting the videos on youtube for free.

He also links to an official Israeli telegram channel, where it can only be imagined you can get these type of Israeli ads sent directly to your devices, which is surely what Iranian farmers need the most.

A Propaganda Campaign intended for whom?

It’s obvious the Israeli PM’s offer, in its current form, as everything appears from the youtube videos, is not genuine. It is very easy to say its just a propaganda campaign, but who is it intended for? Is it really even directed against only Iranians in the first place?

The languages the video were made in are most telling. The English language video is uploaded first, and the Farsi version comes afterward, separated by one of his cabinet meetings on his youtube channel.

One wonders why he made an English language video? Indeed, English is the Lingua Franca, but what is the purpose if he is speaking to Iranians? Why not just make a Hebrew language video, with Farsi subtitles?

Some may say because he prefers to speak English and can not speak Farsi…fine…but then why title the video in English? He does not have to speak Farsi, to have his translators title the video in Farsi. But his English video does not even have Farsi subtitles at all, it’s a separate video.

He makes separate English, Farsi, and Arabic videos and the English video has the most views, currently at 113,916, while the Farsi version (below) currently has only 7,474 views.

He would only make an English video, let alone title it in English, for SEO (search engine optimization) purposes. Clearly, he wants an international audience to view his video. While he pretends he is speaking to the Iranian people, Iranians mostly do not speak English, instead, he wants the world to see his “good deed”.

Most telling, as noted, he created a video subtitled in Arabic.

If this is only intended for Iranians, that makes no sense, as they don’t speak Arabic as their primary language. In this case, it is clear he is not just targeting an intentional audience, he is targetting an Arab, including Palestinian audience.

All of that is not needed, if he just really loves the Iranian people so much, that he wants to help them. True acts of altruism are best without the need for attention…unless of course…it is thinly disguised propaganda. In this case, you would want as many people as possible to view it.

In conclusion, Netanyahu’s videos pretend to care for Iranians, but in reality, they are a publicity scheme intended to:

• Make Israel, and himself personally seem like a hero for Iranian people
• Bash the Iranian government.
• Pretend to offer irrigation technology, while instead linking to propaganda

In theory, he could even try to convince Iranians he truly cares about them more than their government. While it is highly unlikely anyone, including Bibi believes this will achieve regime change, it’s possible and likely that was his most ideal fantasy. At the very least, this is probably a tiny component of that ultimate goal.

Bibi’s irrigation offer could really be about testing the waters, as to whether or not he can get Iranians to turn on their government. He seems to feel that offering the Iranian people irrigation technology is enough to drive them to a revolution. He is basically saying:

Dear Iran,

We’ll give you water, in exchange for your land, lives, and freedoms.

P.S. If you could send us your souls too…that would be great.

Apparently, he thinks it’s that easy. The Persian people will have to decide for themselves, if that’s a good offer. My guess, their answer is going to be NO. It is as the ancients wrote:

Former Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa is being accused of participating in a failed kidnapping attempt of an opposition leader, Fernando Balda, back in 2012. On these accusations, the National Justice Court of Ecuador has approved a request from the Chief Prosecutor’s office to place the accused, Correa, in preventive detention. Since Correa is presently in Belgium, a request is being issued to interpol to apprehend Correa and to extradite him to Ecuador.

Following Correa’s final term as the President of Ecuador, his successor, Correa’s former Vice President and ally,  elected to take the country in a different direction, one that is diametrically opposed to that of Correa’s policies. Now that Correa is no longer in the chief political office, and the opposing right wing party is now in charge, Correa, who led a leftist government critical of American interventionism in South America, is being sought out for arrest on charges that have, so far, no substantiation. Correa briefly discussed this matter with RT in a recent exclusive interview.

Former President of Ecuador Rafael Correa has defied an arrest order, claiming the new government is waging “lawfare” to deprive him of a political future – and even life, in an exclusive RT interview.

Judge Daniella Camacho ordered the arrest of three-term President Rafael Correa on Tuesday over his alleged involvement in the 2012 abduction of a political opponent and requested that Interpol apprehend him for extradition. Correa, who now lives in Belgium, called the allegations “tremendously ridiculous” and dismissed Ecuador’s pressure on him in an interview with RT.

“That is called lawfare, you know,” Correa said. “They can’t defeat us in elections, so they try to defeat us using the judicial system. We have to stop that because this is not democracy.”

The former president, who also hosted a show ‘Conversations with Correa’ on RT Espanol, said that his adversaries “may invent whatever they want because they control everything – media, judicial system, the National Assembly [Ecuadorean parliament], etc. to pursue left leaders.”

“This is a regional strategy to pursue progressive leaders through judicial system – it’s called lawfare or judicialization of politics,” he said. Asked what he is going to do next, he replied: “Just waiting because there is no hope to have a fair [trial].”

He maintained that the prosecutor dealing with the 2012 abduction case was appointed against Ecuadorean law, which stipulates the post may only be filled after a nationwide selection. “He was installed with a mission to put me in jail,” Correa said, adding that he hopes that political situation in Ecuador will finally change.

“Come on, I don’t have to prove I’m innocent. Under the rule of law, they have to prove that I am guilty. And they will never be able to do that because they’re lying.”

The former president described the ongoing effort by the Ecuadorean government to apprehend him as “a strategy to prevent me from returning to my country to be candidate again.” On top of that, he noted, Ecuador deprived him of any security, saying, “they also want me dead.”

Correa was replaced in power by his ally Lenin Moreno in April last year, after a tight national election. At the time, Correa welcomed Moreno’s victory as a “triumph of revolution,” but later branded him a “traitor” and “a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” Relations between the two soured after Moreno proposed a constitutional referendum to limit the number of presidential terms for one person, thus barring Correa from seeking re-election in 2021.

Moreno’s government is giving every sign of a US puppet regime, undoing the policies of Rafael Correa and partnering very closely with America. While Ecuador was once a place where refugees from American political persecution could seek asylum, it is now taking the opposite route and becoming another nation aiding and abetting Washington’s foreign policy. Now there are two major political refugees in danger of facing political persecution from the Americans vicariously through Ecuador, Julian Assange and Rafael Correa.

“Creepy Porn Lawyer” is the nickname that Tucker Carlson gave Michael Avenatti, the attorney representing the porn star who goes by the name “Stormy Daniels”, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford. Ms. Clifford, as “Stormy”, made a name for herself after the election of President Trump, by alleging that the now-president had relations with her back in 2006, shortly after Mr. Trump married Melania.

This revelation was against the agreement Trump’s attorney at the time, Michael Cohen, had made with the actress, paying her about $130,000 in “hush money.”

Ms. Clifford opted to disregard this agreement, since it had value as sensationalism paparazzi style “news”, and Mr. Avenatti represented her in this effort. But now, Avenatti has gone further, making a name for himself and even postulating the idea of running for President himself.

His own publicity in fact, has surged far past his client’s, with multiple TV spots on CNN and other mainstream media and cable networks.

Tucker Carlson dubbed him “Creepy Porn Lawyer”, to which Avenatti obviously took exception, while not changing a whit of his own doings. In this session, though, Mr. Carlson agreed not to call Mr. Avenatti “Creepy Porn Lawyer” if Avenatti would come on Tucker’s program for an interview. That interview is shown here:

Tucker was clearly determined not to let Avenatti get away with saying nonsense, but in the same sense, there was so much more that could have been done. One of the greatest pieces of hypocrisy Tucker did address, which was the matter of “Stormy Daniels” actually being used by the attorney to bolster his own fame, whilst the actress continued to perform and began getting in trouble.

Mr. Avenatti tried, rather absurdly, to pull the morality card as a foundation for his side of the argument, saying that it is immoral behavior for the President to cheat on his wife and young son, Barron. However, this wasn’t flying either. Even by saying such a thing on national television, this allegation, true or not is an outrage against the President’s family. And again, Avenatti was trying to use the Mr. Trump’s behavior against him to try to seal the Left’s connection that Trump is immoral, and thus unfit for presidency.

Of course… Bill Clinton comes to mind as the poster child for moral behavior as president, whose wife lost in 2008 and 2016 in her own bid. Of course, the left is into all manner of support for identity politics, which have created anywhere from ten to thirty “gender” identifications for people who are simply mentally ill and do not want to take responsibility for themselves.

While much of this interview is more of a near-shouting match rather than a discussion and dispassionate debate, lovers of Mr. Carlson will certainly feel that he scored a lot of points interviewing and blowing away the Creepy Porn Lawyer.

But for a Kuwaiti pilot of an F/A-18 Hornet, the experience was much, much more personal.

The strike was heard within the cockpit as a loud thump and made the pilot squirm in his seat. The bolt left visible markings on the canopy.

While the pilot has walked away from the freak accident unharmed, the plane has reportedly sustained damage. The extent of it, however, was not immediately known.

Modern planes – both civilian and military – are well prepared for such an unlikely occurrence, designed to withstand a lightning strike without damage to crew, passengers or their own vital systems. An (un)lucky strike on a plane’s soft spot – like a nearly empty fuel tank, full of flammable vapors – can easily result in catastrophe, however.

2019 began its arrival on Planet Earth with celebrations in the Far Eastern countries of Australia and New Zealand, but this year that arrival was heralded by severe thunderstorms following a week of record setting hot weather in the region.

It seems that even the elements point at 2018 as a tumultuous year, which it was, but as this pilot would probably say, there is much to be grateful for.

President Trump is almost completely vilified by the mainstream media for being everything from ugly, to an idiot, to amoral (a recent charge, by dying US Senator Harry Reid), to corrupt, to weak-willed, to explosive.

But watching this video we see something entirely different. We see Trump the businessman taking his drive for success where it is honestly needed the most. This video features the President in a meeting with US and foreign officials (notably, one from India), and he takes everyone in that room to school about the effectiveness – better said, the lack of effectiveness – of recent US foreign and military policy.

What is extremely interesting, and verifiable from personal observations, is that the common aspects of inner city decay have now moved to the rural areas of many parts of America, and the causes of this are pretty much the same.

Tucker Carlson is viewed as a great conservative reporter. However, his political alignment is what we might consider a “true liberal.” This is not what liberals in America are today, but much more akin to what President Putin of Russia might consider as liberal – that being that people have the right to do as they wish in safety, but there is no “woke” phenomenon, and it means that everyone has the right to hold to their own values, including, especially, Christians. For Americans, this is real conservatism.

Tucker’s video presentation is extremely informative and valuable as we head into the new news year, and he sets the table for all that must be considered and encountered in the news cycles to come. The summary statement cannot be ignored:

Mr. Carlson’s conclusion: “If you want to put America first, you’ve got to put its families first.”
